FUTURE.
Oh how lovely, and hopeful. So much to look forward to. The one we have the power to change. Welcome to the future.
The Finale.
No one thinks about death.
we spend our lives running from it.
avoiding it.
terrified of it.
but it binds us together.
we all will experience death.
it’s something we all must face.
no matter where, who, what, why, or how you are.
we all meet the end of the road.
so why not celebrate an end to which we all meet?
because if we celebrated the life we created then maybe people
would recognize the importance of life.
how much we have to offer.
to our families, our friends, our siblings, our partners.
if we celebrated our pasts,
then we could appreciate our futures.
gives us hope.
that someday,
we too can be celebrated.
But first.
I can’t wait…
to experience our firsts.
our first date
our first movie night
our first kiss
our fist time seeing each other’s bodies
our first time crying together
our first fight…
sometimes firsts are not always good.
but that’s ok,
because I can’t wait
for our first time
forgiving.
and moving forward
together.
Slow & Steady.
How exciting.
for the day where I can say
Wow, this life.
This existence.
It is so must more,
then what I thought
before.
you are here
living for her.
this is what we
dreamt for.
now I see
that we
are much more.
then are past mistakes.
which now are fading away.
a converstation.
“Mommy but why did you leave him?”
because it was not love.
“but how did you know?”
because I pictured this.
a conversation with you.
how I would be lying by saying
how much I loved your father.
that this is what you would believe
true love to be.
how could I lie to my own children?
so it was simple.
I chose the truth.
the truth being.
that this was not love.
